About Obscura

Obscura is a non-profit organization founded in 2009 by artists and educators in Maine with the goal of supporting the arts and arts education through publishing, scholarships, and grants.

But more importantly…

We are a small group of dedicated people hoping to bring you interesting, and compelling articles and stories. We have big things in store for this fledgling site: scholarship postings, guest contributors, interviews, multimedia content, a store full of goodies (books, limited edition prints, and various knickknacks and curios designed to inspire), and more, more, more.
